Ten countries present at the European University Volleyball Championship

The competition will feature 25 teams in total, 15 women's teams and 10 men's teams.

 

The European University Volleyball Championship, which runs from July 16th to 23rd, will be attended by 10 countries, namely Albania, Croatia, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Norway, Portugal, Romania and Spain.

 

Regarding the women's teams, Albania will be represented by University Fan Noli. Croatia has the University of Zagreb and France has Aix-Marseille University and the University of Bordeaux. Germany will also have two women's teams, from German Sport University Cologne and the University of Munster. Hungary has the Hungarian University of Sports Science, Italy with Turin Polytechnic and the University of Bologna, Norway with the University of Science and Technology, Portugal with the University of Minho, the University of Aveiro and the University of Porto. Romania will be represented by the University Vasile Alecsandri of Bacau and Spain by the University of Valencia.

 

 

Concerning to the men's teams, Croatia will be represented by the University of Osijek. Germany has three men's teams from Karlsruhe Institute of Technology, University of Rostock and University of Wurzburg. Norway has the Western Norway University of Aplied Sciences, Portugal has the University of Minho and the Nova University of Lisbon, Romania with the West University of Timisoara and, finally, Spain has two men's teams, one from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia and the other one from the University of Valencia.

 

The official draw for the groups phase will take place on Sunday, July 16th, day in which the Opening Ceremony will also take place.
